40 + Weeks

We had high hopes for our little one to arrive on the weekend of the 4th. But, here we are July 9th and she just isn't quite ready. So, we must wait and continue on by enjoying the nice days of summer. We headed over to Washington Park to check out the roses and breath in the fresh air. We couldn't help but snap a few shots. So, until we have photos of our little cutie, we will just keep posting photos of her parents.

Fun and Easy DIY burp cloths

How fun it is to find a sewing project that is both easy and functional. I'm sure these adorable burp clothes will come in handy. I had a great time choosing the fabric that I could use with my already purchased/slightly used terry cloth towels. It took just a few minutes to throw these together.

39 Weeks!!

Today was my last day of work. I cant believe that I worked up until 10 days before my due date. I am really looking forward to taking the next week to relax and focus on me and the baby. Yesterday was super exciting because it was the first time that I had braxton-hicks contractions. I was super excited. I am so hopeful that my labor will kick into gear naturally and that I wont have to be induced. The countdown is on.....and we are so ready.

Baby Shower At Heather's

I am so fortunate for my dear friend Heather. She threw a super fun shower for my friend Sara and I. We had an awesome BBQ, delicious homemade lemon blueberry cake and made adorable tie die onesies. We had lots of fun and I got some really great gifts!
